) on this regarding all the negative space is old. However, I have to chime in. I see the negative space here as partly defining and shaping this shot. It gives dimension and spaciousness to the shot.
The value of the use of negative space isn't defined by text books or classes. It's defined by how it adds to or subtracts from the work in the eyes of the viewers. In this shot, it adds to it...immensely.
